PNEUMATIKOS: People Of The Spirit - Part 8 - January 20th, 2019
The Pathway of The People of The Spirit
Text: Matthew 4:1-11
The Adversary will do everything possible to thwart, distract, and distort God’s mission and purpose for us in this vocation of being People of the Spirit.
We are given a pathway of practical follow-through in the account of Jesus’ own experience after He was filled with the Spirit. We discover in this passage some clear guidelines concerning our walk and commission as People of the Spirit moving in new dimensions of Spirit-filled living and vocation.
We can learn the following truths…
ONE: I shouldn’t be surprised if the adversary Attacks me right away. (Matthew 4:1; 1 Peter 4:12; 5:8; 1 John 4:4)
TWO: Beware of any inclination to be Self-Serving .(Matthew 4:2-4; 1 Corinthians 13:4, 5)
THREE: If the power of the Holy Spirit is in my life, I don’t have to Prove it. (Matthew 4:5, 6)
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________FOUR: I will find new opportunities to declare the __________________ of Christ in my life. (Matthew 4:8, 9)
FIVE: Keeping full of __________ __________ is the best way to keep filled with God’s Spirit. (Matthew 4:4, 7, 10)*
